Pottstown Beacon of Hope Warming Center

November 1st, 2023-May 1st, 2024

Pottstown Beacon of Hope operates the only warming center for adult men and women here in Pottstown. This warming center rotates to a different church in Pottstown each month. If you or someone you know is in need of shelter, there are a few things to consider:

  • We are open every night, from November 1, 2023, through May 1, 2024, regardless of code blue declaration.

  • Entry through our intake/transportation location ONLY at Christ Episcopal Church (front door) 316 East High Street. each night at 6 - 7 pm.

  • Entry is only permitted through the provided transportation, there is no walk-up entry. If you have special needs that require arrival outside this rule, you must speak with Tom by calling (424)-625-1818 prior to arrival.

  • Currently, we are only able to serve Pottstown residents experiencing homelessness (you MUST show proof of Pottstown residency). This can be mail, identification, printout of state or federal benefits, etc. The requirement is that you must provide legitimate residency in Pottstown prior to becoming homeless.

  • We operate on a first come, first served basis – every night. We cannot hold beds for any reason.

  • Everyone must accept transportation, each morning, at 7:30 am. We will drive you to Pottstown Recovery Learning Center (PRLC) at 414 East High Street, Pottstown.

  • We will provide transportation to showers each Monday and Wednesday. This is not mandatory. Regular transportation will still be provided to PRLC.

  • Unfortunately, all spaces we are using this season are NOT ADA compliant.
